Buts & Objectifs

La Fondation Cœur Vert vise à :

• Promouvoir et soutenir les actions de reboisement, de restauration et de protection de l’environnement ;

• Promouvoir des conditions de vie dignes et décentes pour les populations rurales ;

• Promouvoir la participation au projet Grande Muraille Verte d’Afrique ;

• Protéger et préserver la faune et la flore terrestre ;

• Éduquer et soutenir les populations à devenir résilientes aux effets du réchauffement climatique et du changement climatique.

Notre travail

Selon le Time Magazine (2015), 15 milliards d’arbres sont abattus chaque année dans le monde. Le nombre total d’arbres a chuté de 46% depuis le début de la civilisation humaine. Les arbres, littéralement, tiennent ensemble le sol du monde donc, il est clair que nous devons planter plus d’arbres.

Le Sénégal, où nous concentrons une grande part de notre action, perd chaque année environ 35 000 hectares de terres cultivables à cause de la désertification. A l’inverse, environ 30 000 hectares sont restaurés chaque année. Nous devons, de toute évidence, redoubler d’effort et en restaurer davantage.

Chaque année depuis 2006, entre 200 et 300 jeunes gens du monde entier ont économisé suffisamment d’argent pour financer leur voyage, leur nourriture et leur hébergement, afin de pouvoir participer bénévolement à la plantation d’arbres au Sénégal, au Mali et au Burkina Faso.

De 2006 à 2017, les jeunes bénévoles de la Fondation Cœur Vert ont planté 20% des arbres qui doivent être plantés dans le cadre du projet de la Grande Muraille Verte d’Afrique au Sénégal. Pour plus d’informations à ce sujet cliquez ici.

Toutes les actions environnementales et humanitaires menées par la Fondation Cœur Vert sont fortement soutenues par le Conseil International pour l’Économie et le Développement de l’Environnement (ICEED) dont la vocation est d’améliorer les conditions économiques, environnementales et sociales des pays développés et en développement en atténuant le changement climatique et en développant un nouveau modèle de croissance économique qui vise simultanément la performance économique et la durabilité environnementale. Les travaux et projets du Fondation Cœur Vert sont codirigés par Ody-Marc DUCLOS (vice-président du Fondation Cœur Vert) et Kazunao SATO (Directeur Exécutif de l’ICEED).

Trees literally hold the soil of the world together, so it is clear that we must plant more trees.

Senegal, where we focus much of our action, loses about 35,000 hectares of arable land each year due to desertification. Conversely, about 30,000 hectares are restored each year. Clearly, we must redouble our efforts and restore more.

Every year since 2006, between 200 and 300 young people from around the world have saved enough money to fund their travel, food, and accommodation, so they can volunteer to plant trees in Senegal, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

The work and projects of the Green Heart Foundation are co-directed by Ody-Marc DUCLOS (Vice-President of the Green Heart Foundation) and Kazunao SATO (Executive Director of ICEED).
